Life Institute Centre
Best NGO in South Sudan
Life Institute Centre (LIC) is working to fight poverty and social injustice in South Sudan, with a specific focus on the empowerment of women and girls. We work side-by-side with communities to understand the root causes of poverty and find innovative, locally-led solutions. LIC seeks to demonstrate the results and methodologies used in our projects to ensure transparency and accountability and advance the quality of our work.
We act courageously and pro-actively when injustices are committed against people and when human rights are violated. The situation of each individual is the starting point for our work.
We work closely with partners and are breaking new ground in our partnerships to have the biggest impact in South Sudan.
LIC lives this through our core organizational values, which act as a compass for all levels of the organization, and they help guide management, daily actions of staff, and organizational decisions.
We are committed to helping our fellow human beings; respecting and welcoming differences and encouraging dialogue; ensuring that people have equal rights and are treated equally; creating positive change by taking action; being transparent and accountable in all our actions; and creating sustainable solutions; inspiring trust by leading by example with integrity.
What We Do.
Women Empowerment Centre
A MISSION TO CHANGE LIVES OF UNDERPRIVILEGED WOMEN
Empowering women is the only way to strengthen society. In our community, women have faced a range of structural and social barriers in fully participating in the Indian economy, which not only hinders their individual growth but also limits our nation’s ability to continue to modernize.
We call upon experts for counseling, who provide guidance and direction by arranging group discussion and focused group interaction with trainee women and creating awareness regarding the importance of economic and emotional independence, women’s power, and gender equality.
The Greenfield Centre (GC) was instituted with the aim of increasing awareness and providing suitable solutions to the problems caused by lack of rainfall and high pollution.
